Real Events!

So it's been a while since I've posted my own parties/creations on here so I thought it was time to share! This is a baby shower I did for my best friend Jennifer. She is going to have a boy, but she is very girly so I tried to mix the two. The whole theme was red and turquoise with duckies.

And crackle and pop! This cake is AWESOME! so beautiful and great for people that don't really like cake.

Welcome December!

Like I said before, I LOVE Christmas! Today is especially exciting because December 1st marks two great traditions.

#1: My best friend Jennifer and I do an advent house for each other. Everyday until Christmas we get one tiny gift! It makes December so fun. This is the 3rd annual advent year and I look forward to December first so much because of it.

#2: ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas. Cheesy? yes. Awesome? yes. I am such a sucker for those cheesy Christmas movies (and of course some classics that are thrown in there). Plus Jennifer and I have a great song that goes with this :)

It's the most wonderful time of the year...

I LOVE Christmas...especially decorating. This is a very untraditional approach to the holiday, but I think it's perfect. Also, I feel as a single girl there is only so much time you can decorate like this and not have to worry about it being to girly :)

Event of the day

Get it together!

Today I feel like re-prioritizing, organizing, and re-evaluating things. I only wish I had this in my office to help me. I guess I'll stick to my old school post-its and coffee mug/pen holder.

Another sleepless night...

Please someone tell me how anyone could sleep in this room with those creepy dolls! I love that bed with the draping and the plum color of the walls, but even the best things in the world can be destroyed with a collage of creepiness.

Event of the day

I love regular indoor furniture outside for some reason. Like those beds on the beach, or a couch on your front porch. I absolutely love this dresser and especially in these colors. Perfect dessert table!!

I want candy

These centerpieces are just too cute for a Halloween party and you only have a few more days to make them! I don't know how long that would take though to glue all those pieces on a styrofoam ball. Plus I think I would eat one, glue one, eat one, glue one...so it may be a bad idea for my waist line too :)

Carving Contest

This is what I'm entering in a local Halloween pumpkin carving contest. Ok well not really...but wouldn't it be great if you could do something like this?! Mine never look that good.

Halloween let down

So every year there is a haunted house in Athens, and every year I say I'm going to go. Well I really thought this was the year I was going to make it...and well they don't have it this year. Maybe I will just console myself with one of these treats :)

Great centerpiece for fall. I might change that orange to a tiny pumpkin though :)

Baby Brain

One of my best friends, Jennifer, is having a baby! I am throwing a shower for her on November 8th and this picture is a great representation of what I am thinking for her. It's a boy so nothing too girly, but hey Jennifer is super girly so there will definitely be some flair thrown in :) I have lots of ideas so we'll see how it turns out!

Football Friday!

I'm sure I will not be attending any football tailgates tomorrow that look like these events, however I wish I was because they are all gorgeous. I wish some of my brides would take notes from these pictures on how to do red and black in a new classy way!!

Halloween Parties

This cheese ball is just covered in doritos and the eyes and mouth are olives! How perfect is this for a party?

Happy Fall!

Since yesterday was the first day of Fall, I thought these adorable pumpkin cookies were very fitting. Of course any cookie I try to make like this will surely fail. Those vines look just too difficult!

Mini love

These are the cutest caramel apples! Great for a dessert reception. Might be a little messy to eat though don't you think? I normally don't attempt to eat something like a caramel apple unless I'm in the privacy of my own home.

This was an absolutely gorgeous rehearsal dinner I found. I love those tall yellow centerpieces!

My birthday is smack dab in the middle of football season. This would be a perfect invitation to my annual birthday tailgate. I love it.

Football Friday!

The football season is upon us. That means get your red and black out. I know this picture isn't really event related, but I mean I could wear this to an event right? I do have to wear red and black to work on Fridays so I'm looking to make this happen.

Another tribute

Since Summer is almost officially gone I want to post all the white I can. I know...I am a sucker for a chandelier.

Too cute to eat!

Now as a child I was such a picky eater, I am still a picky eater but not nearly as bad. If my mom had made me these though I'm pretty sure I couldn't resist. That giraffe is just too cute.

Goodbye white

This is the last week we can wear white so I'm going to use it up! What a great Labor Day party idea to have everything in white. Just don't serve anything that stains :)

what's that coming down the track

Ahh fall....next week at this time I as well as millions of others will be gearing up for the greatest time of the year: College football season. I'm loving these little ideas for the tailgate. Go Dawgs!

Is green the new purple?

Hi my name is Lindsey and I'm obsessed with purple. But wait, lately I've kind of been obsessed with green. I'm slowly gravitating more towards it and leaving purple behind (well not completely, but there is competition). I especially love green and white together. So clean and fresh!

Down to the last detail

I love tiny details, and these are an especially fun way to display your cutlery. My favorite is the invitation with the set in it already. Does that mean you if you forget your cutlery set you can't eat at the party?

A little cheese with that wine

I'm loving this cheese display. One of my favorite things to do is try a bunch of cheeses, especially at happy hour :)
